They’re Buying More UNH

Happy OPEX Friday!

UNH is pumping hard today after word got out that Buffett took a significant stake. 

Brandon’s surveillance console spotted unusual activity that day, before the announcement was made. 

Check this out:

Someone slammed into 6,000 call contracts of the $275 strike expiring today. 

The stock closed yesterday at $271.49. 

It’s now trading $308ish…

Those $275 calls are $34…

In other words, that $900K bet is now worth $20.3 million. 

It’s unlikely they are still holding the position anymore. 

Last we looked there were 9K contracts traded on that strike against 10.2K open interest. 

So what are they doing now in UNH?

While the trading day isn’t over yet, here’s what’s happened so far…

They’re still buying UNH. 

In fact, someone today put in a single order of 10K call contracts, at the $350 strike, at 12:18 pm ET. 

These options expire on September 19. 

And that’s just the action in one symbol…
