Why I'm stalking the S&P at 6850 like the Easter Bunny

"We're sitting right at 6850 like the Easter bunny, man. I just can't capture that little bastard."
That's how I opened today's session - completely distracted by what I was seeing in the S&P futures.
The S&P was sitting right at 6850. And I could see the setup forming.
The same setup that's produced a 98% win rate over the past year. The same conditions that show up maybe 10 times per year... and disappear just as fast.
So I scrapped my presentation and walked through what I was seeing in real-time.
Not some theoretical lesson. What's happening RIGHT NOW.
Volatility structure shifting. Reset windows opening. The exact conditions where mathematical edge becomes almost guaranteed.
After 30 years, I've learned to trust my instincts when something feels this dialed in. And today? Everything was aligning perfectly.
VIX elevation. Skew expansion. Market uncertainty creating pricing inefficiencies that won't last.
I ended up going completely off-script because when you see edge this clear, you don't wait. You don't plan a pretty presentation about it next week.
You show people exactly what's happening while it's happening.
Because here's the thing: When everyone else gets nervous, that's exactly when the best opportunities appear. And they don't send you a calendar invite first.
To your success,
Don Kaufman
